Failed to connect to EA online

Earlier today I had an issue with linking my Xbox Live account to EA for battlelog. After getting everything settled and linked, whenever I go to play Battlefield 1 I will get to the menu and it will tell me that I have "FAILED TO CONNECT TO EA ONLINE Online feature will be unavailable. Please try again. See http://help.ea.com/article/not-able-to-connect-to-online-play for additional information." I have tried to reconnect, I have also gone to this link and all it is is just server status links for Xbox and Playstation. Can someone please help me on this I do not want to be out on the Battlefield 1 Multiplayer experience.
