Forum Discussion
Hi there!
This can depends on many things. It can be a server problem, it can be that your firewall blocking you from connect to other people (Behind strict firewall, NaT: Strict).
Check your firewall and try to restart your internet router. Please report back here again if you need further help.
- Sincerely, Timmie.
I reset my modem and ran a test, all other online games I have work, Only battlefield 3 won't work. this started on Wednesday 1/30/13. I wish EA had the balls to let us folks who buy onling game packs like "Aftermath" why we can't go into multiplayer mode. one day is ok, but this is redickulous.. I live in the midwest, so I like to know if there are west cost gamers who have the same problem.

Hi again!
Seems to be temporary problem. Try to reinstall the latest multiplayer update, delete and install Aftermath again. And delete the title update and run the game again.

Ive spent basically 4 hours trying to re-download everything so this better work, if not you guys at DICE and EA need to fix this now. I paid for the game, so you should fix the game, or just make it right the first time.

Mr EA I have done what you said and the sh** dont work especially after midnight I have a case number but all I get from your out of the country call center is that everything should be fine with the money we pay for the games plus renting servers come on get it done.

This is a major problem with East US Servers, not individual modem issues. EA knows this because I've been reading every blog, thread and post I can find about it waiting for something official from EA. Everything was fine until the server migration. My friend rents a server on PS3 (since the launch of rented servers). For 2 days, I couldn't join his server if he was in it. After that, I couldn't join at all. Some of my friends are having the same problem and some can join sporadically. Even the server owner can't join sometimes. The server has been pretty much unusable for us for a week. EA needs to make an official post on Battlelog and their other news outlets that there is a problem and that it will be fixed. We deserve at least that. I decided last night that I'm not playing the game again until the servers are fixed. The server I play on has specific rules about the things we don't like or think is unfair. My friend pays good money for us to play the way we want, without the cheaters, t-baggers and other idiots on "no rules" servers. The game isn't fun for me if I have to play with disrespectful idiots. So, EA, please step up and acknowledge the problem and give us the peace of mind that you are fixing it.
