Failed to join server An unknown error occurred

80% of the time when I try to join a game off of my friends, I get "Failed to join server An unknown error occurred"

If I try to join with server browser, it says "Loading game" for some time, then just kicks me back to the menu.

I've wasted so much of my personal time trying to play this game. Thanks in advance.

    Nope. This has been happening for me as well on PS4 for a long time. It won't fix until I restart the entire system. Each. Time.

    Unfortunately, no. I've tried those as well. The problem seems to be when I try to follow a party member into a game. I found the only solution is to use the join friend screen found on the left of the battlefield 1 Home Screen (the one that also shows an image of the current map. Using any other option (the R2 menu, holding the touchpad when prompted, highlighting a party member in the PlayStation party chat screen and pressing join, joining through the PlayStation main screen, joining the server through server browser) will not work and will only bring up the "failed to join: unknown error" message. I'm able to join a server just fine if I'm the BF1 party leader. I didn't have these issues with any of the previous battlefield squad join systems. I'm hoping BF:V doesn't carry over BF1's way of doing it

    Hey @NeonBlight sorry to hear that did not work. Try doing a power cycle and restore licence on your PS4 to see if that changes anything for you.

    I have had this problem with Bang of Brothers hardcore for 2 days and get the same no matter where I try to get in. I had a gent from another admin check to see I have been banned, but I was ok. I can get into all the others except this one. The only reason I worry about it is because I play with my sons on it and they do not live close.

    Yes, and I am doing it all again now. It seems strange that it is only that one server. Their NORMAL is fine, the HARDCORE is not

    Still does not work. Until you people can start talking tho the servers, People who pay good money to play these games might as well sell their playstations.
