I agree with there needing to be distinct roles, but tbh even back in the day people only really played certain classes for the weapons not the roles. Players tend to kinda be selfish with their playstyles. Like tbh I will try to focus vehicles with a soflam or rockets when I can but then you see there be like a dozen other engies and they're all doing... nothing so the team gets rolled over in every sense. Can't trust a blueberry medic whatsoever. Players just wanna do THEIR thing (often trying to go for flashy/multiple kills) instead of whatever the team needs.
That said allowing medics to have access to snipers so they can just use a medbox to perpetually heal themselves is the most frustrating thing in this game, especially the Irish players who get to even stack up cover for maximum cheese.
