Final Stand and Dragon's Teeth maps won't load (XSX)

I can't load Final Stand or Dragon's teeth content in Battlefield 4 on Xbox Series X.

It allows me to attempt to join the game, but will never load it onto the map's splash menu. It will only have the loading bars in the top right and will stay that way for as many hours as you wait. I get no message telling me about not owning it or anything like that, and there is nothing anywhere to indicate that I have done something differently with Final Stand and Dragon's teeth compared to the other DLC maps. I have seen this issue mentioned

This is despite;

- Having checked the box to install it, and downloaded it, in the "manage game and add-ons" menu.

- Having BF4 recognise my Premium in the menu, (and with Second Assault, China Rising, Community/Night Ops, Naval assault all working normally).

- A full reinstall of the game and all DLC.

- All other maps and modes loading without issue in 10 seconds or less.

- Tried on many occasions over the last few weeks.

  • And I have found the solution! Look no further!

    The issue is caused by certain details of your profile between your console and the MS store (or Playstaion store) not synching properly and so particular downloads not being fully usable by your machine. There was likely a slightly bugged download that DICE sent out which will never be patched due to the game no longer being supported. There's a two-step solution.

    1) Change DNS manually to 8.8.8.8, and 8.8.4.4. Clear alternate MAC address and restart console when prompted.

    2) Navigate to settings > system > console info and select the option to reset your console while keeping your games and apps.

    There is no need to reinstall the game or any problem DLC. Just set up the console again, wait a while for your the Xbox to catch up with itself and then you should be good to go.

    If you are trying to run Dragon's Teeth and Final Stand maps and have Hardline installed, uninstall the Hardline DLCs Getaway and Betrayal, smh they interfere with those maps! This is the best fix, then you don't have to change DNS.

    @Thesanepycho as he mentioned above in his post, there is no need to reinstall again. BUT as i saw in another topic someone mentioned doing this steps he actually had to reinstall them.

    So be aware of this. 🙂

    Hi @xAKIMBOCURLYx Glad you got it worked out. I've marked your solution as the answer in case anyone had the same issue in the future, hope that's OK with you.
