***FIXED*** Connection Problems - Disconnected from EA (1) & Origin could not start up (-5ef7ffff): The LSX server didn't respond within the set timeout.

My problem started with not being able to join any servers, with an error about being disconnected from EA.  Then yesterday changed to the new error about the LSX server.  Below is how I fixed it. Haven't had a problem since.  System - 

Win 7 64bit

8gb ram

Gefore GTX770 4gb - New Beta Drivers

And i'm running Antivirus and 3rd party firewall software.

Haven't had to change / allow / disable / forward anything else to fix this problem.

 

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

 

  1. Open your Origin Application settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom and make sure "Update to the beta version when available" is UN-TICKED
  3. Go to http://www.origin.com/download and download the origin client
  4. Fully close Origin if you still have it open
  5. Run the origin install you just  downloaded
  6. It will say you have a newer version installed or some crap - Click "Yes" you want to install the new version and overwrite the previous install.
  7. Once it's finished installing, give your computer a reboot
  8. Load Origin and play some BF4!!!

    Did both: Origin and punkbuster reinstall and it worked for me. Thanks!

    Ummm I have a punkbuster Error#0111 Could not Convert i tried to grab the pb file off my friend with a working instance of bf4 but still no luck .Also does anyone here have issues ordering bf4 via origin im only receiving invoice failed and i would like to play at least a few games before battlefield 4 goes live.     this worked for me but when i turned my computer off then got on the next day the same crap was happening to me

    Me neither on my PC or my work PC (don't tell the IT manager!)

    Neither did removing all proxy settings, disabling all additional network connections, or VPNing to servers in Europe which sometimes helped get BF3 going.

    Good job I don't take EA at its word these days and haven't pre-ordered!

    I had this issue. restarted origin and a BF4 patch started up suddenly. *shrug*

     Have been try not WORK.

    1Download the PunkBuster client from http://websec.evenbalance.com/downloader/download.php?file=1 
2.Save it to your BF4 Beta / PB folder. The default is -  C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 Beta\pb
3.Run the install, then run pbsetup.exe
4.Click 'Add Game' and select BF4 and click ok
Once it's finished adding the game, click 'Check for Updates'.   It 6.will then download the updated BF4 Beta PB files to your folder.
5.When it finishes, restart your PC and see if you have any luck getting into a game.
