***FIXED*** Connection Problems - Disconnected from EA (1) & Origin could not start up (-5ef7ffff): The LSX server didn't respond within the set timeout.

My problem started with not being able to join any servers, with an error about being disconnected from EA.  Then yesterday changed to the new error about the LSX server.  Below is how I fixed it. Haven't had a problem since.  System -

Win 7 64bit

8gb ram

Gefore GTX770 4gb - New Beta Drivers

And i'm running Antivirus and 3rd party firewall software.

Haven't had to change / allow / disable / forward anything else to fix this problem.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

  1. Open your Origin Application settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom and make sure "Update to the beta version when available" is UN-TICKED
  3. Go to http://www.origin.com/download and download the origin client
  4. Fully close Origin if you still have it open
  5. Run the origin install you just  downloaded
  6. It will say you have a newer version installed or some crap - Click "Yes" you want to install the new version and overwrite the previous install.
  7. Once it's finished installing, give your computer a reboot
  8. Load Origin and play some BF4!!!

Fckn finally!

Let me know if this works for you guys!

    Hey,

everytime when i want to start bf4, this issue pops up in the toolbar in the battlelog. Updated punkbuster, re-installed, etc etc

Nothing works. Re-install Origin is no long time problem-solving.

    So what should i do?

    Thx

    answer is

1 go to origin games  find a folder  battlefield 4

    2. click on battlefield 4  we will have some options find  the pbsvc

3 click on pbsvc  click on next option and continue the process  and finally you get a option finish and click on finish this is fixed ..

4.problem is solved... you will not get  this ..... Origin could not get code (-5ef7ffff): The LSX server didn't respond within the set timeout.

    problem is fixed

    none of these fixed it./..

  • Hello guys:

On the following problem at Origin: ERROR Origin could not start up (-5ef7ffff): The LSX server didn't respond within the set timeout, i found the following.

Some people using programms like TCPoptimizer or else, if you are only playing BF3, thats fine.

If you are using it at BF4, this will not work, as i found out. If your internet connection speed is set to high, BF4 won't loggin in the game, as i found out.

So if you set your speed to normal, all wil be fine, example: Netsh interface tcp set global autotuning = normal (high/disabled)

This should be typed in the dos command line, for example: CMD , then type the bold rule above.

Origin has a blokking against fast internet speeders in BF4.

    Many regards: back_in_a_minute

The above fix doesn't work for me. I typed the command in an elevated command prompt and it returns "Ok". When using the command "netsh int tcp show global" it shows that the auto-tuning level is actually set to normal. Still I can't connect to any server. I keep getting the same error.

It's no surprise that the support that's available from EA is *. There's no option to actually chat with someone from support, instead I have to rely on Google and this forum. All of which are giving the same non working solution. I'm fed up with getting errors after updates. Would be so nice if EA stopped shoving their heads up dark smelly places and actually improved the game instead of making it unplayable after each update.

Does anyone have an alternative solution to this problem as the one given doesn't work for me?
