FPS Drop when using the sniper scope

Hello, i've been playing bf4 fine and have regulary 80-120 fps when playing on conquest 64 player servers.

My computer has the following specs

i5 4670

r9 290

8 gigs of ram

Whenever i zoom in with the sniper scope on some maps (zavod comes to mind) i get a huge drop in fps to 20-40 which makes sniping really difficult, when i go out of zooming everything seems to run normal after

I'm running on 1080p, MSAA off and high settings.

I have the latest beta drivers 14.1 and i'm using directx since mantle gives me some sudden drops in fps and "mist" 

Any idea on what could i do?

    Answer is wery simple and it works 100% .

    The settings wich causes this fps drop is terrain quality on ultra or high setting.  I have the same problem when sniping on some maps my fps drops ridiculously.  

    Set terrain quality to medium and restart the game this setting actualy need a game restart to work.

    You will see a fps increase now when sniping in the same arreas.

     The game actualy looks the same when this setting is changed to medium  high or ultra i dont realy notice the diference in zavod.
