FPS Drop when using the sniper scope

Hi,

I have a problem with sniping in battlefield 4. When i want to zoom in my scope(8x or other zoom optics) i get enormous lagg spikes. I go down to like 1 fps until the area i zoomed in is loaded its fine. But i cant zoom in my gun fast because it takes like 3/4 seconds before the spike is gone. So i want to know what causes this problem.

I normally get around 50 fps while playing on medium.

Specs:

Intel Core i3-2120 @ 3.30 GHz

4GB of RAM

Geforce GTX 750 Ti

Could you please enter your ingame video options and turn the option "Weapon DOF" off?

    Cheers

Okay it is a weird issue, especially as you have a heavy FPS drop and not an issue with a blured scope.

We need to try a few steps to check out if we are able to find the root cause for this issue.

Go to your custom settings of your video-card software. Disable all extra options for enhanced graphics and set the preferences for AA and anisotropic to “use application settings”.
Set the BF4 graphic options to “low quality” or reduce AA and anisotropic filtering to a minimum.
Launch the game, if the issue is solved, you can try to set the graphic options higher.

You should be able to change the graphic options for every game separately in your "Game" tab of your Geforce experience suit.

  • Hi,
I found it and I think it worked! No lag anymore while zooming! Thanks for the help!
