FPSG - AU - Server problems

Hi,

I would like to report some issues with these servers, causing problems for the Australian community in general.

So, These servers

Currently, The owners are running some custom settings to 'protect from DDoS'. Using a USA proxy. The effects of which are causing the servers to show no ping  and also perform very badly. They are falsely claiming this protects them from the DDoS attacks that effect DICE / EA on a daily basis. They claim there are no pings 'to protect from DDoS' in the server messges to hide the fact we are getting USA pings from Australia.

Now the issue is, These are labeled as AU servers and show up in the Oceania filter,  but we get USA levels of ping which are hidden by the way they set up the servers via a proxy, causing very bad gameplay and generally leaving a negative image of how the game performs in this country.

I believe it would be in the best interest for everyone involved if this was stopped - as it is causing a large portion of the AU player base to be playing with pings of 250-350 while under the impression they are on a 25-50 ping AU server, when they are not. Leaving people judging the game as broken and unplayable here.

I could not find where to report the servers for this, So i made this post. I hope something can be done about this?

Please, DO NOT NAME AND SHAME. It is highly against the rules and not allowed. I suggest you to edit your post and remove the information.

To report servers (if you do not know the owners name on battlelog), contact support and follow this steps:

For this, you will need to contact Origin/EA support. They will gladly help you, with this problem. To contact them, see the steps below:

*Note that some players may have issues when using Internet Explorer. If this is the case, please use an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome*

Click the following link and log in: https://help.ea.com/en/

Then click on Help with a Game, and choose your game. If your game isn't listed, try entering the name on the search bar to the right. Alternately you can choose the Browse By Topic option and choose your relevant topic. If it is an account issue that doesn't require Game Advisor assistance, you can click the Manage Account button.

On the next page you will see a bunch of articles, links to community fixes, and a manuals tab for the chosen game.

If the articles aren't relevant to you, scroll to the bottom of the page, and you will get an option to Contact Us.

Click this and you will be prompted to choose your platform, the topic of your issue and to give a brief description of the issue at hand.

You will then have your options available, such as having a Live Chat with an advisor, or scheduling a callback if it is available in your region.

After this, you will get a live chat or a callback (depending on what you chosen) with an EA agent, that will be glad to help you.

If this helps, please click the white XP button and to give me some XP.
If this solves your question, click the green solution button and mark it as solution so it can help others with the same problem.

Ok after i contacted live support, they suggested to open a thread here and on the main BF4 forums and that i would not be in breach of the 'Name and shame' rule.

Has anything been done? It doesn't seem like it since the servers are still up... I really want them down, so sick of them!

This topic is not true, as i have talked to the server owners, and they have shown me solid evidence (ip trace routes, proof of location, etc, by official companies like IINet) that the server is based in Sydney, Australia. The server's are up and running, and are as popular as ever.

My personal opinion is that they are the best servers in Australia at the current moment. the ping's are not shown to protect from DDOS, but the based in america theory has just been debunked. Problem solved, move on please.
