Free dlc not working for bf1 on xb1

When I'm at the main menu and try to join one of the dlc maps it acts like its going to join. But it backs me out to the main menu and says I need to purchase the premium, but its the monthly thing where anyone is supposed to be able to play. Anyone know a fix, or why its not letting me play when ive played it a hundred times before? Its doing the same thing on the monthly operations campaign free dlc too

    Hey @B4RB4R14N  as far i'm aware there is no Free month on going with Battlefield 1. So you are going to need Premium for this.

    I dont understand tho, because as long as i can remember up til about 2 months ago they had the dlc they rotated and anyone could play it, as long as it was the ones that they chose. That's odd that they would just stop doing this after it's been this long.

    @B4RB4R14N They released the DLC as a free to play for a limited time, to attract players who may have never played a battlefield title in an attempt to get them to try the game in the hopes of them making possible purchase.

    This is a new marketing method that DICE and many other companies are employing, essentially making these types of free to plays a Demo mode without them calling it a demo mode. Some game demos can go anywhere from a few hours to a few months.
