experienceing massive amounts of lag ever since the latest update and one of the biggest if not the biggest update yet

  • Yea I too would like to know what is going on. I just bought the premium pack and I can't even play my new maps. This is completely unacceptable, I want a product that works or my money back.

I'm a pc player, my definition of the problem is suddenly, while still having high FPS and high PING, I lose connection for around 5-10sec. Sometimes kicking me out of the game. Battlefield 3 and 4 are the only games this is happening to. I've tested this on different networks as I tried it at home, at a friends house and at another friends house, same result. It happens completely random and sometimes it doesn't happen.

The specs of my pc is:

    i5 4440 @ 3,1GHz

    8GB RAM

    Gigabyte H87N-Wifi

    MSI GTX 760

I've seen numerous threads about this and on pc, disabling my Nvidia audio driver has fixed the problem in Battlefield 4 - For now. I have not played much since I tried it and it might happen again. This is a really annoying problem as it often makes me die because I can't react.

Thanks for the response BlekChaoz, I know that there have been a lot of DDOS attacks on gaming companies lately, and they've increased whenver a company launches a AAA title, and EA just released BF4 final stand and launched Dragon Age Inquisition which has a multiplayer and server component so I have a feeling that the hackers are targeting EA's servers at this point creating the strange disconnects that we are experiencing.  Unforunately that means that there is little that we as players can do to remedy the disconnect problem at the user level.

For my PC players, please check to make sure that you don't have the Origin in game overlay enabled (it is enabled by default).  Origin in game has created lag and stutter problems since the early June Origin update.  Disable origin in game as it's causes lag problems. To turn off Origin in game log into Origin, in the upper left hand corner click on the word "Origin" in the menu, and then click on "Application Settings".  Next go to the "Origin in game" tab and uncheck the "enable Origin in game" box.

Well, for me right now the lag is completely gone, I think it's only in the evening it doesn't happen for me. I know of the DDOS attacks, Runescape has been heavily affected by it. and thanks for your respone
