Friend does not show up in GUI

I have a friend that does not shop up in the GUI. He is simply not there, neither as offline/afk/in the menu/playing or whatever.
Joining via origin with the "join game" button does not work. He also invited me into his party. In this case bf1 starts, adds me to the party but fails do join server. I end up in bf1 interface without the possibility to access anything in the menues. People joining at the same time have no problem joining the server via the party.
I tried it several times over the last two weeks either by using the join game button or via party invites. Never worked.

As the player does not shop up in the interface I don't see the server he's playing on. It's just one guy from my friendslist and I do not experience this with the rest of my friendslist.

Is there a known fix for this?

On which platform are you playing? Does your friend have privacy settings engaged in his console or origin accoun? Was this friend added via PSN\XBL, Origin, or Battlelog?

  • I'm playing on PC and there are no privacy settings engaged on both sides as far as I know. I added him via Origin, twice now just to check that too.

    Hello @DevastorMarine

I am really sorry for those connection issues with Battlefield 1. Have you checked those advises, other players provided? Let us know, if any further assistance is required.

    Cheers,

    Archi
