Friendly teammate indicator or marker not always showing

I have the PC version of the game, running windows 8.1 x64 and am running the game in x64 mode as well. Have all of the current drivers for my nVidia video card and other hardware in my system.

I have consistently experienced an issue where not all friendly teammates little blue dorito or indicator or whatever you want to call it will not show up. It is visible on teammates sometimes so when you are looking right at them they still look like an enemy (i.e... no blue icon above them). This is quite a problem mostly in Hardcore mode as it causes unnecessary teamkilling which is frustrating for both the person who is teamkilled and the person who accidentally killed his teammate. Sometimes after aiming down the sights the indicator will show up, but other times even aiming down the sights the friendly indicator never appears. This issue also occurs in vehicles as well.

I am aware that pushing Q (or whatever spot is bound to) to see if the person you are looking at is friendly or and enemy is a sort of funky temporary workaround to this bug, but it takes out of the immersion of the game, and causes lots of pubbers to go around TK'ing people without even realizing they were even killing their teammates. I am also aware that part of playing hardcore means you will end up being teamkilled occasionally, but I shouldn't be getting teamkilled due to a bug in the game. If this were just a design decision that you were never going to show any team indicators in hardcore, I would be OK with that, but inconsistently showing/not showing friendly markers just causes confusion and frustration for everyone.

Is anyone aware of this issue, and are there any plans to fix it? If there are no plans to fix this, at least consider hiding ALL friendly indicators or something else instead of just randomly showing some but not others, to reduce all the confusion caused by this inconsistency.

Also if anyone has anything to contribute on some kind of solution to this bug please let me know, it would be extremely appreciated. I'm willing to try just about anything to fix this. If anyone needs more details let me know and I will be happy to provide them. Thanks 🙂
