Loaded above game into computer. Origin took over and wanted to install game manager, which I believed it did. Then It wanted me to download again, and again, and again. Never could play the game. Could you please help me

No there is no way to play online without Origin.
You will need to reinstall the browser plug-in or try out a different browser, install the plugin on them and then restart the PC and try the game from Battlelog (choose a server and it will automatically start if you installed everything correctly).
it will be downloading the updates to the game, and there are about 9gb of them
