Getting slow frame rate on a fairly new PC

Are you using the latest drivers? I had terrible performance with these drivers on an Nvidia GTX 560 and had to downgrade to 327.23 drivers to get expected performance. Now the game runs smoothly at 1920 resolution.

    I dont suppose downgrading drivers is very simple

    well basically all i did was set the graphics to medium, restart the game and it ran smooth.  Then set the graphics to ultra, restarted the game - and now its at ultra settings AND running 60+fps.... I DUNNO!
