Getting stuck at selection screen , while in Nvidia surround mode

Hi , i'm new to the Nvidia surround , i have it setup at NV Surround 5760 x 1080 ( recommended )  Landscape

my vidcard is GFX 760 - 4GBram

The game starts to load , side screens go off coz of no signal and i only get to see the middle screen active , game loads to selection screen and then i can't do anything but the 3 finger salute and stop BF4 with task manager.

When i use the 3 screens in normal mode everything works as it should.

Do i have to set something in BF4 to activate the use of my 3 screens ??

greets Steve

  • Hi SteveOhhNo I also game on 5760 X 1080.... in game you need to put your screen size to the same as desktop. As game loads same deal pic is on center screen until I deploy in game. What size of power supply do you have in your PC?

Do this set of settings just to be safe. And make sure it is not from a program as well ...
Others have said if they uninstall MSI Afterburner issues / crashing is stopped. So if you have this installed remove program and test BF4. Also look at other programs as Fraps, Geforce experience, be sure to turn off the streaming function that is enabled by default ,Raptr, ASRock eXtreme Tuner and xfire are known to make issues as well. And I am sure more programs not in my list yet turn one off at a time and test BF4. Since last patch more programs now give issues :/

Uninstall the HD Audio Driver from the video card driver install add/remove programs. This silly thing makes issues in BF4 for some. Reboot then repair BF4 to be safe.

    Run the game as Administrator:
Go to the Origin games folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4) and find Bf4.exe. Right click it and go to PROPERTIES, then COMPATIBILITY and check the box next to RUN THIS PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR.
Do the same with BF4_x86.exe as well.

    Run Origin as Administrator:
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and right click on Origin.exe and go to properties. Then go to compatibility tab and check the box next to RUN AS ADMIN.

    Disable Origin in game:
In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
    Origin, settings, General

It all works till i get to the selection screen , where you can choose drop point , squad and such

the mouse pointer turns to bizzy mode and thats it....

when i'm not in surround Mode with my screens it all works just fine.

i've turned off streaming in experience , thanks for that one 🙂

the HD audio driver from the videocard i never install by default.

i performed the repair function but all was 100% ok

even in admin mode BF4 hangs at selection screen. ( in surround mode )

Ok what ever was going on , i just tried again and i got past the selection screen.

changed my vid settings and SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET , i wonder how fast i'll get RSI in my neck from this setup, hahaha

  • Setting this screen up correct first time is no fun at all and can be a big pain. But once its done correct so sweet to game on, I have had mine almost 5 years now and will never give up this res by choice. I can never go back to just one screen now 😕mileylol: First week I used 5760X1080 mmm ya it made me dizzy 😕mileylol: Also you can make the tool bar go across all 3 screens if you want or need info give me a yell. It took me about a week to fully love it at first so much more to take in.

If you need help to get higher fps in game I can give you the settings I use as I pull the most FPS I can out of my card/ GTX690 I pull 120FPS. Also to see FPS in game if you need it this is how to make a cfg to see FPS in BF4

To see FPS in game with out fraps etc:
    1- open note pad
2-put this in the note pad..... perfoverlay.drawfps 1
3-when you make the user.cfg in notepad, change the file type from text to all. And name it user.cfg
    4-Put in .....:\Program Files(x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4
    5-Also close Origin to put cfg in just to be safe :}
6-You will see your FPS in top right of screen when you start BF4
