GPU Does not support DirectX 10.0 which is required - BF4

May just be another problem that needs fixing, but honestly if you want to spend 60 or more for a AAA game you might as well invest in a better card to run it.

Yeah, you are right... I can't argue that.  I simply wanted to see if what I have would run it.  I currently play Borderlands 2 and WoW no problem (granted, low graphic settings).  I'm assuming a new card will help with the DirectX 10 issue as well.

Also, I've had the Radeon 2400 default in this computer since 2009, so I won't be asking for any refunds! 🙂

Ask for refunds on the Game silly :D and TBH with you even if you updated you GPU to something more moden, you would also need a better CPU. Because if your CPU is just as old as the GPU it would make the cut.

I get the exact same message "GPU does not support DirectX10.0 which is required", only the thing is it's a Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 5850 1GB, which should be adequate for this game and definitely supports DirectX10 and 11! 

Tried three different Catalyst drivers 13.5, 13.9 and even the latest 13.11 (Beta). I've reinstalled the game, checked and reinstalled DirectX. 

Any ideas about what possibly could be wrong?

I too am getting this error, i have played the game for almost 50hours and played it about an hour ago, now when trying to launch I get the error "your computer does not meet the minumum requirements for playing this game. "NVIDIA GeForce GTX780" does not support DirectX 10.0 which is required"

AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series us what I am running and last check I am running dirextx11.. a hour ago i was playing no problems at all.... whats changed????

Im having the same problem but i do have a Nividia gtx 660 and 16 gb ram.

Same problem here. Was working fine yesterday, but today when I tried get this error.  I have a GTX470.

i have the same issue too. I have a AMD Radeon HD 5700 and I played BF3 for a very long time and I even played the Beta of this game without any issues. I cant even play it because of this message.
