Hey @JaseLloyd93,
those nasty double GPU's, I know. I've got one myself.
Your NVIDIA card definitely supports DirectX 10, your Intel HD graphics - which you shouldn't be using for BF anyway - however doesn't support that.
Please follow these steps:- Open NVIDIA Control Panel
- Go to "Manage 3D Settings"
- Check that Battlefield 4 is starting up with the NVIDIA GPU (High Performance GPU)
If that didn't work, switch the global settings in "Manage 3D Settings" from Auto to High Performance.
Cheers,
Val Tried both of the steps but it's still not working. I just got BF4 and it seems extremely frustrating that after waiting for so long I still can't play.
any luck on that?

@mikrofalowka12 Do you have the same issue like in the OP? Do you get the same error message?
Please attach your DxDiag file to your post

Usually this issue appear if you have a laptop with two GPU's.
here you go mate, I have 2 graphic cards, integrated Intel (bf runs on it but on lowest setting and with 20 fps) and Nvidia Geforce 840m. I used to play bf on the same laptop but after I had it reinstalled it does not

Can you please try to uninstall your Nvidia graphics driver and do a clean install by using DDU? Here is a manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_XVJLgqo3qvZW1xZHlUNDB5Z1U/view?usp=sharing
In theory, the game should use Nvidia graphics card by default after reinstalling driver.
So I did it and still I get the same message :/
I dont get it, my nvidia has directx 11 which is compatible with 10 right?
And I have noticed that after instalation of the freshly downloaded up to date driver from nvidia page I have an update of the nvidia graphic card from windows update tool. Interesting
