Heavy stuttering/freezing after July 8th Patch

I encounter lag after about 15 minutes into the game. When I first boot up the game is runs like a dream but the lag slowly builds. After 20 minutes, I can freeze for 5-7 seconds. Sometimes the game crashes.

Specs:

GTX 560Ti

i5 2500

4GB

Win 7

Fingers crossed its kind of like hunting for a needle in hay :/ On my PC it took a few days to fix it all. Even after I got it all fixed I still had to do a fully clean install of BF4 to get it all stable. I am hoping you dont need to go this far but if you do I have steps for it.

I addressed every error that occurs while on the game. Including:

    513 CAPI2

    8193 VSS

    36888 Schannel

    Yet the game still lags.

I also read a post about cpu throttling if the temps are too high. This made a lot of sense to me considering the heat and the fact that when the game starts everything is OK. I installed RealTemp and my CPU idles at 45 C and goes to 85 C max in battlefield. While these temps are high, everything I read says it has to hit the 90s or higher for Intel i5 for throttling to happen. Regardless, I'm going to clean the PC to improve the temps; maybe even redo the thermal paste on the CPU.

Still suspicious is the modem that allows wireless. I'm going to trade down with my ISP to an older one without wireless.

I am moving to a complete teardown following Zorlacc's post about it. If all this fails I will be truly lost. I'm working on recording my gameplay so we can all see what I'm talking about. Truly, gamebreaking freezing.

Ya my post on it is for when everything has failed. :/ Its not hard just mega steps to be sure its clean before BF4 is installed again. But if its a program or something on the PC making the issue my steps will not work to fix it. But  you are doing all things correct could always open the case and have a fan near it to see if it is a temp  issue.

Rebuilding Origin, BF4, Punkbuster from scratch did not work. I regret not trying the game on Vanilla first, rather than install all the DLCs, to see if that is a possible source. This is very sad. I should also note that the title is misleading because I am not experiencing lag rather freezing or stuttering. When I look at videos on people with lag, they frequently complain about getting hit behind cover or the game registering after the fact. Also there is rubberbanding which is more like being snapped back into a previous place or being stuck. I only fouind one video like my problem but, not as severe as me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mgk1lA60lOI

    Still on the ledger:

    Getting a no-wireless modem

Accepting that, through upgrades, EA has pushed my system to obselete and a weak link is at fault: motherboard, chipset, onboard sound, HDs, RAM,

Looking at the registry value by value

Another idea saw was to adjust the virtual memory and its settings. I need to learn more about this.

Another rumor that I saw on the boards was that the patch was targeted against hackers and that I'm being hit because I'm on some list.

    Please EA, Help me!!

I wish you had win 8.1 way more easy to fix registry issues :/ But your on win 7 so we deal with what we have.

Whats this about...... Another rumor that I saw on the boards was that the patch was targeted against hackers and that I'm being hit because I'm on some list..... If you got reported or did hack you would just be banned they are not going to give you lag just a silly thing someone is saying by the sounds of it.

Adjust the virtual memory and its settings not sure it will help but not hard to undo if its no help. How much ram do you have in your PC?

    MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!!!

    This helped in my case:

    1) Disabling my Xtreme Tuner (or any GPU modifier). I did this by using the program to restore factory defaults and then stopping it from running in the seetings.
    2) Adding 2GB of page file memory to my D: drive for a total of 6GB.
    3) Not using Motioninjoy. I am still using MIJ because I will not play with the keyboard but, I only was able to get it stable after that one time I was testing without it. I also set MIJ to local mode to see if i could play with it and so far so good.

    4) It could be all a coincidence and EA could've updated the servers.

I'll post it as solved after a couple of days without issues.

Also I forgot. I changed the power profile of the pc to "High Performance"

With all the changes I made I don't know which one was the clincher. Unfortunately, I'm too scared to start reversing to see which one it was.
