How do I get a "solved" marker removed from a thread?

I recently posted a thread about continual bugs and problems with the single player game not properly saving progress (thread). It's marked as solved despite the fact that the issue is not solved and I did not mark it as solved. I worry that this is misleading for anyone how comes across the thread in the future. The post marked "accepted solution" is in no way, shape, or form an actual solution to the problem. Future readers would be better served if the thread accurately reflected the fact that the described problem is not solved.

I stand by that solution, @918dcd792766e6ba, if you can't save properly, then either your console has troubles saving locally or online if you reach all the save points in the game, as you say.

  • And this saving issue affects absolutely no other game except Battlefield 4 because....?

Honestly, @918dcd792766e6ba, I have no idea. The EA servers are running and working, I specifically sat down at home and tried to reproduce your issue on my own Xbox One, my own private account and with my own Battlefield 4 and it all worked fine for me. Same for a friend and a colleague that I asked to try it out.

So yes, I do think it's somehow an error on your system. Is there any way that you could try to completely reset your console to factory settings and then try everything again?

  • I'll certainly grant that it's *possible* that the 300+ people experiencing similar problems across multiple years on several entirely different consoles all had hardware problems that interfered with saving, but it seems vastly more likely that there's some bugginess in the game.

In any event, "it's somehow an error on your system" is not a solution. It does not offer any steps to take to resolve the problem. It simply reiterates that if you experience this problem there must be some kind of problem. That's a tautology.

@918dcd792766e6ba this is actually a Sony issue and not an EA issue. Sony announced that it is aware of the issue and working on a fix that will be pushed out in a future PS4 firmware update since it not only affect BF4 but Assassin's Creed IV, COD Ghosts, NBA2K14, etc on PS4. Unfortunately Sony did not provide an ETA for the Fix and it's been over a year since they made this statement.
