How I should try to get the veteran status and all the benefits of it?

I'm pretty sure you're stuck, most of the EA advisors do not know what you are talking about, they are not trained to deal with the described issue, I'm telling you this from my personal experience. If you manage to get the missing contend back, I will be surprised. My advice is just don't waste your time trying to get it, for the past year I have been trying to get the missing content (Veteran status on Battlelog and BFBC2 dog tags) but still nothing has changed, multiple forum post and at least 5 EA advisor chats, just let it go. I'm sorry to be the bringer of bad news...

I watched some of your comments while reading almost all the post about veteran and M1911...

Months ago I asked about the M1911-S, that is almost imposible to get due the lack of some game modes...

And a very friendly support guy told me that he would do if for me, but due to being a 10 y/o game, they don't have the tools to do it.

True? Not true? I don't know...

Btw, it shows the "live chat" option to you in http://help.ea.com/ ?

Now im concerned to be blocked of the live chat or something... both times the chat closed and I had nothing to do...

I think i'll try in the next days with the live chat/mail to see if it lands in anyone with the idea of how do it...

Don't worry, there is a limit on how many times you can contact the EA agents by chat, you will get the option once again when some times passes (24h). Also to answer your questions, they have the tools, but they don't know how to use them or they don't want to use it. I have never seen someone get it, I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure.

Hey, it's me again.

They replied the mail...

The guy who answered the mail understood the situation and what I was meaning.

He told me that they dont have the option to add coins to battlelog...

At this point, as you told me, I think it's not worth the time or the effort.

Maybe there's only the option in some support "menus"(?) maybe they don't know how to do it (?) I don't know, it's fine.

Thank you very much for your help, sad end, but I had fun playing Bad Company 2... so worth it 🙂

That's sad to hear that they couldn't help you, but at least you having fun in Battlefield BC2 🙌

Unfortunately with such things we can't help in the forum anyways, besides only giving tips or trying to figure out a solution together in case you missed anything depending on your isse.

And things like that what your issue is can only be fixed by the support usually.

But at some point, for older games even at the support they're not able to manually do as much as they were able back then.

Also as i'm familiar with it, games that released after BF3 are not supposed to affect the BF3 veteran status at all.

So that you played BF4 and BF1 shouldn't matter anyways.

Yeah, I've got the same issue. Bought Bad Company 2 to get the M1911 and it's variants in BF3.

Customer support told me the game was too old and they couldn't do anything about it which I'm not sure I entirely believe. Maybe they just don't want to put the effort in to actually fix it.

Either way I'm hopeless.

in the support they can't do it for us.

I don't know the reason, but the age of the game, for me it's a convincing one... Sad reason but looks legit for me.

When I grab a kit from the floor and the 2nd weapon is the M1911, I cry hard. It's a hand cannon haha.

Maybe this idea could sound a little excessive, but it cant be that difficult to find anyone in the world that works for EA Support and could confirm if that's true or not.

Or even if we found one, he/she even could have the right tools... I don't know, but internet never stops surprising me.

I can relate, all my friends have the M1911 because they played BC2 back in the day and I'm so jealous…

BF3 was my first Battlefield game and I've recently started playing it again. Only now did I realize that the M1911 is unlocked through the veteran status. I'm somewhat of a completionist so I figured I'd buy BC2 to finally get it. Sucks that apparently it can't be unlocked anymore since BF3 is my favorite entry in the series.

I don't wanna give up on it but I don't know what to do either.

I just opened a ticket and chatted with EA support and was told the same thing, that the games are too old or something and they dont really support it on any deeper level anymore.
