I submitted an appeal ticket 2 months ago and have heard nothing. I've read several posts around the net of players wrongly banned who've submitted several tickets and still heard nothing. But can't someone not purchase a new copy of the game with new product code and just start over? Maybe make a new origin account as well?

According to the EvenBalance website, seeing the message "PunkBuster kicked player 'xxxxxxx' (for 2 minutes) ... Violation (MULTIHACK) #XXXXXX" indicates that PunkBuster has detected a cheat program running on the computer and suggests removing the cheat program and try playing again. So how is a person supposed to find whatever cheat program . Also they say that in the case of a GLOBAL PunkBuster GUID BAN the PunkBuster GUID that is associated with your CD key/game account has been permanently banned and that you will need to purchase a new game account and/or CD key to play again. So that seems to indicate that there is something I can do. It would be nice though to get confirmation that that will work so I don't waste my money if buying a new game copy still results in another ban because I couldn't track down the cause of the original one.
