I do not beleive that an EA support rep would be allowed to make a statement such as that.
Regardless, I encourage everyone to talk with them and let them know.
The more numbers of people doing this the better chances of a "faster" fix.
EA wouldn't shut servers down without making a statement, which is why I beleive your chat is false.
Furthurmore this thread is not a discussion topic. its simply a guide for people who do not know how to use or access it.
