Huge problem making my game unplayable (PS3)

This started Saturday and has gradually gotten worse to the point now where I can not play the game. I've had the game since November, on disc, besides the regular crashes I've had no issues. Suddenly when I spawn I have no guns (I waited whole round in spawn to test they did not appear) my enemies become invisible some with floating guns some do not have floating guns. If I die and respawn the exact same issue, then at the end of the round instead of getting the scoreboard and progression I get a BF4 background screen vacant of the normal scoreboard until the countdown ends, I presume I cant see the timer, then an eternal black loading screen ensues where the only fix to stop it is ejecting the disc.

Over the past 4 days this issue has gone from 1 in 5 games to now every game which makes my purchased game and all DLC unplayable. Before someone says game data I did that twice reinstalling game and all DLC. My disc condition is perfect my PS3 system runs smooth all of my issues are serverside I just want to know why this is happening? I cant foresee a fix from my end Ive tried everything, rebuilding database, file system and even tried on another PSN.

I've not complained once about the thousand crashes Ive endured bit this is literally a bug that has made my game unplayable.

  • Anyone else having this issue?

I can't play the game or DLC until this gets fixed it sounds to me like a serious issue it can not just be me I'm positive it's an issue that randomly appeared just as DICE put up new server hardware.
  • Does anyone from the development team actually view these forums?

This is a big deal for a game I put 63 pound in, Im going to try reinstalling disc only no naval strike to see if that is the issue besides that I can't see what I can do.

This happened to me too. However, try restarting the system instead of ejecting the disc. This can happen more than one time. However, it's only on the PS3. The console can't take it.(Graphic Wise) That's why it crashes. I hope this solved/answered your problem/question.
  • I've had it on the PS3 for 7 months and never had this before.

When it happens you can't restart the system you have to eject disc if you try to restart the PS3 nothing happens. I play my other 20 disc games fine so I'm convinced there is nothing I can do.

Did u ever try pulling the power cord when it happened?
  • No I only ever soft reset my PS3.

Last resort going off the idea my HDD data for BF4 is corrupted just completed a full format of PS3 HDD on computer will get back on here if it worked. Disc works fine in my other PS3 in house thats ruled out.
  • the op is almost an exact mirror of what I got going on with my ps3 and bf4. I have tried reformatting, and even putting in a new hd, thinking the hd was going bad... nothing.

  • I've experienced this on PC, Xbone, 360, and PS3 (haven't played PS4 yet). It seems to be sporadic and not an every day occurrence with me. I have been playing on the PC Community Test Environment and have not yet experienced this problem there so I believe that this may be resolved in a future patch.

Sometimes swapping weapons or throwing a med pack will make me visible again, other times I have to be killed.
  • I fixed mine, took the disc back to gamestop and got another one, also bought a lens cleaner dvd. came home ran the lens cleaner, deleted all my bf4 data and reinstalled off the new disk, and I played for 10 hours not one crash/freeze.

before that I couldn't play anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes of a round without crashing.

    hope it helps someone.
