i cant enter the online game

I'm getting this problem in Battlefield 1, I can't enter the online game, I don't have privileges, I use Xbox One, I was playing this game on Game Pass, I wanted to buy the game and it gave me this error, how can I fix this, I also have an ea play membership.

  • @Mrsbatw4 It would apply to any game with a multiplayer mode (and some single player games which need an online connection), as you need to pay Microsoft to access their multiplayer network.

You can play single player without it though.

  • Hi @Mrsbatw4 If it's the error I'm thinking of, it's an issue with the Xbox subscription. Do you have a screenshot of the message which you could add?
  • Hi @ElliotLH  The photo is not mine but I'm getting the same error. I reset my Xbox and did everything but it didn't fix it, thanks for your reply. (I'm writing from translation, there may be errors)

@Mrsbatw4 Thank you. That is the error I was thinking of. Have you checked that your Xbox subscription is up to date and can you play any other multiplayer games?
  • @ElliotLH I'm currently installing Battlefield V. I will check it. I already bought BF1 and bought EA Play. Do I need to buy Xbox Game Pass as well? (translation)

@Mrsbatw4 You'd need the Xbox Gamepass Core at least to access multiplayer for all Xbox games. If you have that already it would be worth contacting Xbox support so they can check your account.

Just to let you know since you mentioned having an EA Play subscription, EA Play is included with Gamepass. I wanted to mention this on case you don't want to pay two subscriptions until you can cancel EA Play.

  • @ElliotLH Thank you. So even if I buy the game without Xbox Core or Gamepass, I won't be able to access it online. Does this only apply to EA games?
