There used to be a time when you could just insert the disc and play it. Those days are past. I don't know if this is mentioned on the box at all, but it's always safest to check before buying.

but where can I buy this? Do I need a new Xbox?

You can probably just buy a cheap 20gb hard drive that goes under you're slim xbox or on top of you're xbox.

Absolutely blown away (pun intended) that I paid $60 for a video game, took it home, and then was told I can't play that game on my console. Bunch of money-grubbing [Comment Removed - Admin.]. I'm putting my x-box up for sale today, buying a Playstation and probably not going to buy an EA game ever again.

It is your own responsibility to make sure you can play the game.
It clearly states the requirements for hard drive space on the box.
Plus the fact that you need to install around 12 gigs of data on Xbox has been publicized all over all major gaming news. For weeks.
You can return the game or upgrade it to Xbox One version.
YOU don't have a hard drive. That is your choice. Even though an xbox without hard drive is like sex without orgasm. No point.
And Battlefield is not the first game to require installs to hard drive.

You don't understand the problem, so shhhhhhh.
People with XBox 360 Slims can't install the game because what they THINK is a 4GB hard drive that came with the system is actually an internal flash drive. There is literally nothing anyone can do other than go out and buy a new hard drive.
I've never seen a game that won't let you even play without a hard drive.
