im on an imac running bootcamp and i just bought battlefield 4 today. once i had conquered wave after wave of unncecessary web based tomfoolery to actually get into the game, i was met with and error saying i needed to update some drivers that would seems to be completely unobtainale. is there anyone with the know how to soothe my issues or maybe has the same problem and can help me? because otherwise thats 60 dollars down the drain unless i buy a dedicated gaming pc
Apple likes to make "Mac versions" of all hardware, including the graphics cards. Since AMD and Nvidia don't create drivers specific to Bootcamp Windows I would imagine that you are stuck with whatever drivers Apple have created. I would also imagine that apple don't update their drivers that well or that often towards Windows games.
Now someone has messed around with modifying the drivers, but that's kinda Mac territory which I'm not familiar with. This link might help:
