Ok, thanks for that, play on any other mode and report back.Note to every one: The no sound bug, the 4 squares on the screen, the problems that some GTX 780 Ti users having with FPS, the new crashes and other errors and problems have been sent to DICE for investigation and they are working on them. This is not only you. I have the same problem after today's update. I hear the background music and a few sounds only (e.g. grenades), but not e.g. gun fire and similar. I met several other players online that had the exact same problem.Hoping for a quick fix. That's very problematic. Everything worked perfectly before today.

Support Team, EA and DICE,Please give us an update. It has been about a week since this issue has been reported and all players have received was a "we are aware of the issue". I think players deserve a little more information at this point. EA / DICE PLEASE TELL US!-What is EA's brief summary of the reported issue? (This is so similar issues are not misreported in the same thread and so players understand that EA understands the problem) -What feedback does EA need from the players? (Does EA need more information from the players?)-What configurations does EA believe is affected by the reported problem? (This is so players with other configurations can reported the issue so EA can widen the scope of affected systems)-What does EA believe is causing this issue? (This is so EA can demonstrate to players that it has a technical understanding of the underlying issue)-What is the severity level? (How many players are affected and how high of a priority is this for EA?)-What fixes will need to be required to fix this issue? (Is this a server patch, player patch or infrastructure fix?)-What controls will be in place to prevent a similar event from occurring? (Show the players EA is learning from their mistakes and not just going to repeat them. Everyone makes mistakes, intelligent people learn from them)-When is this expected to be resolved or another official update/response to be given? (Updates with no progress on an issue are better than no update at all)Player Appreciation month will NOT make players forgive EA for past poor gaming experiences. I know EA works hard to enrich the player experience but sometimes we all need to be reminded. EA should take every bug and use it as an opportunity to demonstrate to the players how hard it works to give us the best experience possible. So are you going to sort this out or not? I ask you 5 hours ago and still no reply if not I would like a fall refund of the game and the content I payed for as soon as you can thank you

It's not about clicking your xp button or your green button why don't you just sort this out for the people that payed good money for this game and all we get is a unfinished game still no sound on all in game modes this really is so perthetic it's a joke how you can get away with this

Same here. Found this today after I just bought Premium. When I joined in TDM, I can hear nothing but the loading music. It has been happening during the whole round. Also, please fix air superiority lost connection problem. On my PS4

I am having the problem on my PS3 playing team deatmach generaly happens when i join a game that alredy started. Generaly doesent happen when i play i match from the star to end. Also i only play TDM so i dont know if happens in other modes.

PS4 - after patch there is no sfx, just loading screen audio and then end of match audio.

When joining a match, when it loads it plays the end of match sound right off the bat

This is happening in TDM, I tried Metro and Floodzone before switching to Conquest which was fine. I am using the Xbox One.

I had this issue as well. I installed the update and the ATI driver 13.11 at the same time. I thought this was an issue with the driver, not the game, and I performed a system resotre. Now I cannot open battlefield. I created a thread outlining this issue. What course of action should I take? i believe that performing the system restore after updating BF4 could have caused serious errors in the game, and I am afraid that I wil never play again.
EDIT: I am performing a repair. will check back in once complete
EDIT 2: Okay, good news. I performed a repair install, and everything works fine now. I can now launch the game, and my sound is perfectly fine.
I believe the issue may lie in the drivers used. I reverted to my old driver, 12.xx, and after the rapair, the update is intact and my sound is working fine. The driver linked in the update brief might have caused these problems.

Hi,
I have the same problem. I bought Battlefied 4 today and I heard sound but sometimes I don´t hear any sound only music playing background. Sometimes I hear and sometimes no sounds but mostly no sounds.
Windows 7 64 bit.
