Hi everyone! So me and my friends have downloaded Battlefield 1942 for free on Origin, but there is a problem, the game won't launch. For all of us. When we select Battlefield 1942 and press the Launch game button, Origin says that the game is launching, but nothing happens after the notice disapears.

Tried all of the above.. still won't work.
Does the game still need a serial Key? If i look at the information (i) in Origin, there is none.
will not work here either ,tried all the mentioned fixes in this thread and it did not do anything. still only pretends to start and then nothing.
any solutions for this yet? or are we all just waiting for a fix still
it is that bf 1942 is thinking u have 1 mb when u have more do these steps and see what it is saying
go to windows explorer
go to porgam files(86x)
go to origin games
go to bf 1942
go to eReg
launch battlefield 1942_EZ.exe
press ok
press system requrirments
and green check means good in 2nd coloum
red x means bad and say what u see
Did that and it seems the game doesn't register my memory and says I have Windows NT while I really have windows 7.
l beleive the game does need a cd key. I was able to get the game to launch using a mod that replaced the .exe file, but then when I tried to join an Online match it said Invalid CD key. My cousin called EA who then gave him a CD key and the game works fine for him now. absolutley no issues. If only they could get this through their stupid heads. I spent 40 minutes arguing with a rep that this is what I needed and he wouldn't listen.
what is the mod ? also how do we get the cd key if we didn't buy it?
