The solution which seems to be the top reported one right now is:

Update: Solution slightly updated - restart Origin between the two game property changes! This reportedly have an even higher success chance.

The currently most reported successful workaround is as follows:

Open Origin client and right-click Battlefield 4 and choose Game Properties. Go to Advanced Launch Options and choose Battlefield 4 (x86) and Save. Now fully close Origin and start it again. Then repeat the same process and change it back to Battlefield 4 (x64).

If this works, also +XP this thread.

Here's another solution to try - it involves setting Origin to Offline Mode and launching BF4 once that way:
