Installing Mods and patches for Bf 1942 - anniversary version

I wonder if you can install mods and patches in Bf 1942 - anniversary version (in Win 8) and if anyone can guide me if.

    I know that there are a couple of cool mods for BF1942 around and I am a big fan of modding community. We are not officially supporting modifications on our games, you will need to stick to the various modding community boards.
