Intel i5 760 not enough for Battlefield 4? (FPS drops)

When i play Battlefield 4 Multiplayer my FPS (measured with perfoverlay.drawfps 1) seem to go nuts: They often are above 100 or at least in a green area, but every now and then they drop rapidly for a short time - sometimes even below 10. I tried changing the video settings, but this only seems to inflict the average FPS and doesnt change anything about the drops. Even the lowest resolution and everything set off or set to minimum doesn't solve this problem. According to Task-Manager the CPU usage always is between 90-100%. Is there anything i can do, or is my CPU just too weak? BF3 runs well on High by the way.

If you've got a similar CPU or a similar Problem, please tell me about your experience!

Windows 7 64-bit

GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Intel i5 760

4 GB Corsair DDR3 RAM

1 TB Samsung Spinpoint F3

Probably unrelated, but i have odd long loading times too: 1-3 minutes longer than anyone else i play with.

  • I managed to eliminate my problem by adding 4 more GB to my RAM. I even use my old video card and it's running stable. Obviously 4GB RAM are NOT enough, despite this site saying it is: http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield-4/pc

My system now looks like this:

    Windows 7 64-bit

    GeForce GTX 275

    Intel i5 760

    8 GB Corsair DDR3 RAM

    1 TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
