My system is:

All drivers are current.

  • OK, to close out this thread... the answer was my CPU was not up to the task, I had an i5 3570K. Moving up to a newer i7 6700k has fixed the issue completely.

    Thanks to everyone who helped.

  • So my theory is that both of us have a processor below the min spec (6600k) so it seems related to that. I'm upgrading my CPU so I'll let you know if that solves it.

I dont thik that they will fix that problem.

When u take a look at the forums, u see reports about this problem back to bf3...

  • @erendir89

Ah thanks for that... I called EA support and they wouldn't even look at my error message because my CPU is behind the times (i5 3570k), they said it's 100% due to my CPU. I asked how it relates to the error I'm seeing and he said "I didn't look at the error message you sent".

Frustrating, I've put a lot of time and money into this and still cannot play.

  • @KempA_312 yeah I suspect you're right but I'm out of options since EA refuses to provide official support since my processor is old.

@dirtloves What is strange is that both me and my friend have got the exact same components and the same identical software installed and in use, and for him it works an does not work for me
