Invalid Licence. Error code: Missing DLL: [XINPUT9_1_0.dll] Error: 0x7E

                                                                                                       COMPLAIN

I've downloaded Battlefield 4 the 21 of June, I've bought the Premium Edition for $13.00 and i've had the same error over and OVER and OVER again. I've restarted my computer, tried it in 2 operative systems, both 64 and 86bits, I've tried reinstalling the vcredist_x64 & vcredist_x86 multiple times, i've REINSTALLED THE GAME over 4 times, watched videos, tried out with other errors, read threads and tried to repair the game multiple times.

                                                                                                       INFORMATION

I don't know if it's for the EA's terrible service or it's something that i've done wrong. After downloading the game, i pressed the logo as any person would do. It took me into Battlelog. (http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/) and i pressed campaign, after pressing "Play Campaign", it'd show a window saying "Starting Battlefield 4: Premium Edition" above a loading bar that went from 5% to 100% in 2 seconds. After 5 seconds of waiting another window just appeared, "We're sorry. An error has ocurred." and under it; "Invalid Licence. Error Code = Missing DLL: [XINPUT9_1_0.dll] Error: 0x7E." with a button of "Exit" instead of "Contact Customer Service" or something similar (What should happen).

                                                                                                          CONCLUSION

I hope somebody who experienced this problem or some kind of EA worker could help me. After all, i know $13.00 Isn't too much, but still i bought a game. If i can't play it and i don't get any kind of help (I'll try to contact EA but as i'm from Latin America it'd be hard) i will take it as a scam and ask for a refund. I'm literally sick of this!

Thanks for reading,

  • @CHACHI2015123 First make sure all this is up to date on your PC and if need be we will look at other things to fix it...

Latest version of DirectX see this page
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35

Reinstall Microsoft C++ For my game PC's I install both x64 and x86 as it does not hurt the PC

NOTE>>> you need to select the x64 or the x86 file depending on what architecture your computer has. To find this out, Click Start, right click on "Computer" and select "Properties". Under system type is should say "32-Bit Operating System" or "64-bit Operating System". If 32-bit operating system, download the x86 file, and if 64-bit download the x64 file.

    Update your Microsoft .NET framework.

    Adobe Flash Player update
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    Go to Punk Buster site
    http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

1- Download PB then extract files to your desktop.
    2- Open Punk Buster folder.
3- Click on the PB setup and it will open.
4-Add your BF4 game to punk buster its at the top of Punk Buster.
5-Then update punk buster again at the top of Punk Buster.

    Reboot PC test BF4

     Thanks for all the information!

I've been trying to fix it all day, luckily, by a YouTube video "Battlefield Hardline bf3,bf4 invalid licence Missing DLL XINPUT9_1_0.dll fix" (Here's the link if you wish to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb0PThdI5Ww).

In the video it told me something similar to what you told me as a "First Method". It didn't work, so i tried going to the 2nd Method which was downloading some ".zip" files that the maker of the video put in the description. For thanks godness it worked!

But.... Sadly, i've now got another problem... This may be because of these files.. I started playing the "Campaign" of the game and i noticed that the textures and models looked 10 times worse than they did in the Console. I tried to fix the issue by changing the selection from "LOW" to "HIGH". When i went into "VIDEO" options, it said "Graphic settings cannot be changed for 32-bit operating systems." the strange thing is, i have a 64-bit operating system... This is very confusing. I swear downloading a game should be easy. Steam doesn't suffer from such things. But i'm sure that that isn't the problem..

I am not sure if i should flip the coin and try out your method risking the only time that i could atleast play the game, Zerlocc.

     What do you say?

@CHACHI2015123 It is worth a try of doing what @MADrag0n stated as your cfg could be mucked up as well as I would run repair game.

Open origin go to games tab and right click on BF4 and run update game files as well as  after run repair game.

I am so not a fan of d/l files from a utube video as you never know what they put in them most people are good but I have seen others put in spy crap :/

EDIT ... as well as make sure this is done,,,

    Disable Origin in game:
In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
    Origin, settings, General

Make Sure BF4 is set to 64bit if your windows is 64bit
1- open origin and go to My Games
2-Right click BF4 and go to Game Properties
3-Under when launching this game set it to x64 and check off disable origin in game.
4- Hit apply REBOOT your PC and then test your BF4

    Reboot PC test BF4
