Issues installing PnkBstrB.exe TL;DR included

TL;DR at the bottom.
Since downloading BF4, I'm kicked from literally every single game (within 5 minutes) with the following error message...
"ERROR
Game disconnected: you were kicked from the game."
Now this isn't the most informative error message but I'm pretty certain I've found the culprit, PunkBuster. As I understand it PunkBuster requires two services to be run whilst playing, PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB. After installing, un-installing and re-installing PB on a number of occasions I have the PnkBstrA, and PnkBstrB at the following locations.
C:\Windows\System32\PnkBstrA.exe
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\PnkBstrA.exe
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\PnkBstrB.exe
However, when the PnkBstrB service is running it states it's path is C:\Windows\System32\PnkBstrB.exe, so it's running a service which doesn't exist.
As previously mentioned even after a lot of un-installing and re-installing I could not get PnkBstrB.exe installed in the correct location. Last night after tinkering some more, I somehow managed to get PnkBstrB.exe installed and hurrah, I could play BF4 not only for more than 5 minutes, but for an entire game! I thought the problem was solved, until I turned on my machine this morning.
I went to check on PnkBstrB.exe and alas it has disappeared. Reading through numerous posts I've read that sometimes anti-virus can block PB from running so whilst PnkBstrB.exe was installed, I made sure to add it to the exceptions on all of my anti-virus features (AVG in case you're wondering). Exceptions for PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe located at C:\Windows\SysWOW64 are already in place so that should be an issue. Even though PnkBstrB.exe has been removed, I can still see the exceptions that I added for it.
I'm at a loss, I've paid £95 (deluxe digital edition and premium) for a game that I cannot play. I'm seriously considering asking for a full refund and never picking up another Battlefield game unless they stop using PunkBuster as their anti-cheat software. I would hate to do that as I genuinely love playing BF, but unless this issue is resolved I don't have many options.
I guess what I'm hear to ask is has anyone came across anything like this and were you able to resolve it? Why won't PnkBstrB.exe install? How can I install PnkBstrB.exe? When I did get it installed, why was it removed?
