Issues with using headset in game, as well as problems creating squads.

I have two problems, the first is with using headsets in the multiplayer game, it would seem that I'm unable to mute any player in the game. I'm able to select the mute function and it does show the three little dots beside the user I'm trying to mute but I can still hear what they are saying, which is annoying when they are yelling into the headset. I know I can just turn off the VoIP option but then I can't hear the squad members that are being useful. Also I'm picking up other headsets from people not in my squad.
My second problem is when I create a squad I can't select the private squad function, when I try to move down to private it jumps right pass the selection, I use to be able to do it but within the last two weeks this issue started. Please let me know if there is any solution to these problems. I have already cleared the cache and cookies for another issue I was having but it hasn't had any effect on these problems.
