Keep getting kicked from BF4 Beta
First joined the beta at time of release and setup my Graphics settings and was changing controls and got kicked for "idling too long", now everytime I join I get kicked from the server...

Okay, so I joined a different server and played the last 3/4 of a round and didnt change anything and I didn't get kicked. After the next round started, I proceeded to change a single control (took literally 5-seconds) and it froze there at the bind selection and kicked me from the game.
I'm having the exact same problem! It is so annoying playing with default binds.
having the same issue when i try to change the defualt bindings (joystick) the games freezes and kicks me out of the game. ??
** TEMPORARY SOLUTION: **
The game has a settings file leak, where it gets slower and slower every time you make a change to any jet keybindings in settings.
To reset it delete the PROFSAVE_profile file in your My Documents/Battleifeld 4/settings directory and start over.
You'll have to rebind all keys again, which also count towards your max # of settings changes.
This is an issue with both jet and helicopter bindings
THIS IS A MAJOR BUG WHICH EA HAS YET TO ACKNOWLEDGE
For those who are PC savvy, here is a regex to find/remove all of the invalid entries in the PROFSAVE_profile file
^GstKeyBinding\.[a-z]+\.Concept.*\.(([4-9][0-9]*)|([0-9][0-9]+))\.[a-z]+ [0-9]+$
My PROFSAVE_profile file had over 327,000 invalid entries in it
So, if you know how to do regex search/replaces, you can bind as many keys as you can until the game crashes, then do a search/remove using the string above, then continue binding your remaining controls. If it locks up again, rinse and repeat until your bindings are all set. I only had to do it once, but YMMV.
I haven't had sufficient time to test this out, but you were probably right. Something was at least wrong. My profile had grown to 32 MB. After removing the bad lines with your regex it dropped to 750 KB. My game actually loads a lot faster now. Hasn't crashed yet, but I haven't tested for very long.

I was trying different settings back and forth with the graphics trying to find a sweet spot with my video card not sure if that saves to this profsave_profile. I didnt have the problem until I tried to unbind the Joystick keys from everything but the helicopter and jet. Once I started to unbind and rebind those I started instantly freezing it wouldnt save anymore changes not one and the game would lock up. My PROFSAVE_profile size is 32,214KB
Ill delete it and start over.
Im using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick with Logitech Profiler Version 5.10.127 date 6/14/2010 which is the one they currently have on their website for Win7 x64 bit.
The game was running fine until I started assigning unassigning keys.
Also it could be the joystick but it was very sensitive to the twist function, I would try to pull the joystick down for pitch up and it would instantly assign ROTZ. Thats when I installed the Logitch Profiler and set the dead zone for the twist function but couldnt make anymore changes which brought me here. Game on!
