Kicked from BF 3 server because of country

Hello larerun81, I understand that you are upset about this, but the server administrators are allowed to decide who is allowed to play on their servers. This surely was a region issue, because the server was located in another country and not an attempt to offend you.

Go to Multiplayer -> Server Browser then choose to display filters...and choose the country you want to play in. This might help prevent future kicks when looking for matches. Playing in a country located far from you tends to lag their server, this was most likely the reason for you being kicked. Hope this helps!

Just to clarify this, high pinger do not lag the server or other players. Server administrators are kicking high pingers because they are lagging themselves and are therefore harder to hit. All the rumors about high pingers lagging servers and other players are coming from people who play Source engine games, Frostbite 2 is entirely different.

That's all fine and dandy but I was not pinging high. I was pinging fine, I play on hundreds of other US based servers all the time without issue. Canada and the US are neighboring countries, there is a good chance I would ping better than some people living within that country. This is the first time I have ever come across this in my 15+ years of online gaming. I still think it is absolutely ridiculous and refuse to accept it. But oh well, I suppose there isn't anything else that can be done so I might as well drop it here and now.

They are only allowed to decide to an extent this is from the server TOS

Server Administrators are in violation of the EA Online Terms and Conditions if they enforce server rules on ranked servers that prohibit or severely limit players from using any roles, kits, weapons, vehicles, or other features of the game while playing on their server. 

Server Administrators will also violate the EA Online Terms and Conditions if they (i) use offensive server names, server art or clan tags; or (ii) encourage other players to violate the EA Online Terms and Conditions while in game.

Im pretty sure saying No Canadians is prohibiting you from using features on their server, and Alot of people would take the server name as offensive, so they are breaking the TOS.

Same happened with me .. they simply cross check your battlelog profile and bf3stats website and see the flag mentioned over there .. the next they will ban you if they aren't from the region they want it to be .. No matter you are having the full bar ping signals on that server ... 

Best option is to play on DICE only servers .. just a suggestion ..

And yeah nothing you/we can do on it .. there server there rule ☹️

I strongly believe that admins do not do this on purpose,but they are trying to avoid high pingers and the way they are doing is only allowing players from the same country to join.

An admin once posted on Battlelog and said the same thing,it is not about racism,is about avoiding high pingers.

I have set of messages received on my PSN by the admin who told me the reason for my kick .. the reason was i am not from the region where servers are located so i may be causing the lag.. when i asked him how can you find the pings as this thing is only in PC .. he told me whenever server lags he look for the psn name's and then there battlelog profile /bf3 stats and kick them if flag doesn't lies in that region .. 

I am from India and currently living in London , and was playing on Europe server with full 5 signal bars ..

I play  with a Canadian all the time. No lag. This is usually on a south US server.  Its usually European and Australian people that cause the lag in the US servers
