Heres YET ANOTHER problem you guys at DICE and EA seem to have missed (I dont know if anyone has mentioned this as I am not about to read through 16 pages of comments)
RIBBON XP
Here is why its broken:
Ribbon XP (or any award XP for that matter) doesn't count towards your level. You see it in the after battlereport "ranking you up" but as soon as you check on battlelog or move into the next round/match on a server your magically back down where u were before the award XP was added to your current progression.
For many people including myself this means you are having to aquire the SAME RANKS SEVERAL TIMES.
I myself had the issue of taking 4 matches to get from rank 12 (around 80% to 13 when started) to rank 13. the first game I got more ribbon XP than I did actual game score, it ranked me to 13. Second game I was back at rank 12 and didnt get enough normal XP or award XP to get me to rank 13. Game number 3 at rank 12... again got enough award XP to get my to rank 13 but without the award XP I was about 200-300 XP off rank 13... guess what... GAME FOUR still rank 12... thankfully got enough XP without the awards to get to rank 13...
By Battlelogs record I have almost 200k of AWARD XP that I have never actually recieved - this would put me from my current Rank 22 all the way up to Rank 26/27... 5 ranks I'm missing out on thanks to a broken XP system... great... I can deal with playing around the other horrific issues this game had but I am not about to go to that effort of dealng with server crashes, bad netcode, terrible hit boxes/registry - to then get screwed over and not get awarded what I should be...

Yes same for me, playing on PS3, I never get to keep any XP from ribbons. The points saved to my rank are always a lot less than the end of round summary shows. Kind of pointless me playing it at the moment.
