Kunlun Mountain: Tram not there, cannot progress!

Was playing the campaign and having a great time. Noticed that Irish's model disappeared. Kept playing. Arrived at the tram station and the reinforcements come (the 4 guys, one sniper) to fight us...

I saw a solution on another post indicating we shoould be sure to kill everyone before going to the tram, but i clear the whole area, got to the tram ans it's not there!. Now the checkpoint is saved on the empty platform, and my only option is to restart the whole mission zzzzz
