Battlefield 3 PC doesn't launch

I've been trying to start BF3 again and it doesn't even launch to the main menu. 

I've done anything and everything to fix punkbuster, but launching bf3 through the EA app does not launch at all. I don't know what the reason is. 

It has been like this for over a year. 

If I go to launch it, it will act like it's starting up, show up in task manager, then disappears and no longer shows in task manager. 

Has anyone else experienced this and know a fix?
