Logitech Extreme Pro 3D

I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro that I was attempting to use with Battlefield 4.  It was not recognized, so I did as recommended and deleted out the joystick commands.  Now the game will not bind ANY key from the joystick to the commands.  I have Windows 8 and up to date drivers on all my hardware.  Is this ever going to get fixed?

I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick.  All axes respond normally in the joystick applet in Control Panel (Win7x64).

In game, under the Helo tab, I have the joystick's X axis set for yaw, but the axis seems inverted.  Pushing the stick left yaws right, and vice versa.  (I've yet to fly an actual, real-world helicopter, but I can't imagine this is how it works.)

I've cleared every joystick bind in the game for each tab (infantry, vehicles, jets, etc.) and set up just Helo from scratch.  I've tried the Realmware utility (which is very nice, highly recommend it), but there's no way to invert the X1 axis.  I've disabled the cloud settings, just for kicks.

It doesn't appear to be something as simple a just pushing the stick the opposite direction when binding this axis.

I've tried inverting this axis in the Logitech profiler software, but as far as I can tell, the game simply ignores it.

(For what it's worth, my XBox 360 controller exibits the same behavior with this axis.)

I've seen many threads about joystick/controller issues, mainly about the freelook thing.  I have yet to find anyone who has my issue and has had it resolved, but hopefully I'm just overlooking something.

Is this a bug, or is this how it's supposed to behave?

It's now working.  I went into the game, changed X axis from yaw to roll, and Z axis from roll to yaw.  Worked fine then (pushing stick left would roll helo left, etc.)  Changed axis binds back to the way I initially wanted them, and now it works.  Stick left yaws left.

Not sure what actually happened here, as I've done the same thing at least once before just a few hours ago.  It's likely I was doing something wrong from the beginning and never did realize it.

Not enough time to read the whole thread other than the "show menu" binding (thanks btw). You might also notice in your infantry settings your "button 8" if you have a Logitech 3D Pro brings up the menu, too! Unbind that sucker. Obviously, it will be some annoying key for other flightsticks, too in the infantry settings.

My Extreme 3d Pro joystick was working.  I had to remap it a few times, but now BF4 will not recognize it at all.  (It also stopped working on BF3). I have installed and reinstalled both the stick and the game. I have unbound all the keys, but when I try to bind it does not recognize the stick.   The computer shows (windows 8) shows it working and I can map it with the Logitech software.  But BF will not recognize it.:mansad:

I am also having trouble with this joystick in BF4. Some of the buttons register as weird things (like pad up and pad left), although this doesn't seem to have an effect on the function of the stick. What does have an effect is that throttle up and throttle down register as "trigger 1" and "trigger 2" respectively; I don't think the plane throttles properly because of this; furthermore, directional control becomes completely unresponsive when the throttle is set to below about 50%. This makes certain kinds of attacks (like strafing!) completely impossible, and the planes more-or-less unflyable.

Will we actually get a response from anyone at EA in this forum, or is this just a customer supplied "knowledge base"?

Medal of Honor game has the same issue. As a matter of fact the last several  MoH games don't recognize the Logitec Game  Controller which has really pissed me off because I've wasted over $100 on the last 3 MoH games and are unable to play them!

So now I'm waiting to se what the almighty EA will do to fix this.

i have talked to ea tech s level 1,,,to level 3,,,some arent even aware of key bindind issues,others blamed logitech,,one told me only xbox joystick will work...went and got one,,,no.personally,,i think theyve dropped the ball,,ones that did know,told me to hold off on the refund and wait for a patch,talk to another later on,,to late for refund now,doesnt know if there will be a patch,,,again told to talk to logitech,lolalmost like talking to the government,this has been an ongoing issue for a lot of people,,flying was my thing,now i spend my time using aa ,i hate it that i cant fly,,,i suk flying with keyboard,,,also before i got bf4,,had 3,,,and joystick worked fine,,after install bf4,,,cano longer use 3d pro in bf3,now my other software is damaged as a result,their customer service is redundant,,they tried to walk me through repair and fix options,,tried all the stuff id already tried and then had nothing to say,,they cheked my machine,my system is almost triple of required specs,,,,,,,i have three different joysticks none of which work,,,thanks for screwing up a  wonderful game,,it used to be the best    dicey

Throttel down (trigger 1) still enables free look in bf 4 and that sucks hard.

Soolution is.

Open PROFSAVE_profile with notepad, located in My Documents  Battlefield 4  settings.

Search from text :  ConceptZoom.3.button



change "14"  or what ever you have there   to for example   555

save file

EA must be a bunch of half * ... that's what I think. Why even bother if the game wont recognize a common stick. ... I got mine working, kind of, same as everybody here. Now I know why they sell the game for $5.
