Solved

Low gpu usage again.

After this patch my problems with low gpu usage has returned. Oh joy!

It never exceeds 63% usage. Was fine at 99% until this patch.

AMD Phenom II x4 @4.2

GTX 570 @900Mhz

Corsair Vengeance 1600

OCZ 700w

I remember there was a fix awhile back, but I cant seem to find it again..

Cores unparked and temps are flawless.

  • I sorted it out. I redid all my user.cfg commands (I didn't change them, but just took them away, launched the game, then put them back in) and all was back to normal. Gpu usage binned at 99%.

    And I'm on Windows 7.

    Thanks for the help.

How is your in-game performance? As expected? Any change?

  • It's worse.

And by that I mean I get frame drops down to 40s, wich I never had before.

I play on all low settings. Even on 1600x900 with res scale at 95%..

    AMD Phenom II x4 @4.2Ghz

    Gigabyte ga-970-ud3

    GTX 570 @900Mhz

    Corsair Vengenance 1600 8gb

    OCZ 700w psu

All my overclocks have been (and still is) stable for 3 years and going.

    Temps are great.

I have tried to play on higher graphic settings to put more load on the gpu, but to no awail.

Tried a round just now and my gpu usage never got over 89%.

Before I was almost locked at 120fps (wich is what im aiming for), but now its fluctuating between 40-120fps..

I had this problem earlier, but managed to find a fix. Problem is I cant seem to find it again.

I have "unparked" my cores. Ran the dxsetup file in the BF4 directory. Tried tweaking my user.cfg file, but nothing seems to work this time.

    Are you using Windows 7?

I suggest you cut the user.cfg file to your desktop and then in-game choose high or one of the other graphics quality settings (not custom). You need to run everything as close to default settings as possible, confirm expected performance and then start tweaking one thing at a time.

Great, glad you got that fixed. Enjoy. 😕mileyhappy:

  • What was in the user.cfg file? Similiar system and I have a similiar problem.
