Hi @Sarge_UCR56 interesting and good question you got there.

I mean first of all we can say that at this point they won't add any completely new weapon to the game.

But still a good question, as we know DICE does also pretty good research on things if it comes to historical accurate things in certain games, and still try to find a good balance between historical accuracy and fun playing.

Maybe there is certain things like specific weapons that got lost inbetween all the stuff that they had to fit in the game. Or they just decided to put in a certain amount of weapons and so they had to pick which ones (if they had more than wanted)

Could be many reasons why this one made it not into the game, maybe it's been too similar to a other weapon we got instead so they decided to not put it in instead of having two almost same guns.

But in my opinion, we got some pretty good mixed weapons arsenal to enjoy, so this one doesn't matter too much. 🙂

I believe the 1917 MG we got was loosely based on the original (?) 1895 - I guess they figured they were so similar there was no point (the stabilizers could've also played a role)
