Menu is black - NO imagines are loading

I tried playing it via the normal Origin, and when I press play the play button just greys out like it is starting, but nothing happens. Not even a process in the task manager

I'm playing over ea play and there is such a problem in the menu.

I'm having the same problem.  Just installed BF1 two days ago.  After the interface asked for an update it now comes up black.  

Is there any way to fix this without having to completely uninstall/reinstall the game?  

Can someone please tell EA to fix this on launching battlefield 1 on EA desktop? game destination is through xbox game pass and iIm sure its the UI thing they make you install prior to going multiplayer. 

I know that so many people have this issue, can EA look into this??

I'm having this problem aswell. Had origin subscription ~1 year ago and installed EA Desktop via XBOX gamepass. Same computer no problems then, now this. It's funny how a game can downgrade over time  😛

Como muchos yo obtuve el juego por medio del Xbox Pass y el EA Deskop. Solo puedo ver en el menú "letras" y ninguna imagen o fondo.

Ahora bien pude dar con una solución que espero no sea la definitiva pero que sirva para salir del paso. Todo se resume en iniciar el juego offline y luego de iniciado conectarlo a la red nuevamente.

Pasos:

1- Inciar EA deskop.

2- Desconectarse a internet.  

3- Inciar Battlefield 1. 

4- Esperar a que termine de cargar el juego y luego reconectar la red.
 

Esto nos soluciona el problema solo hasta que entremos a un servidor y salgamos. Tengo la versión V.263805.

Hello everyone, I have a possible solution for this problem. Like many, I got the game through Xbox Pass and EA Deskop. I can only see in the menu "letters" and no image or background. Now, I was able to come up with a solution that I hope is not the definitive one but that will serve to get out of trouble. It all comes down to starting the game offline and after starting to connect it to the network again.

Steps:

1- Start EA Desktop.

2- Disconnect to the internet.

3- Launch Battlefield 1

4- Wait for the game to finish loading and then reconnect the network.

This solves the problem for us only until we enter a server and exit. I have version V.263805.

same problem. Since a month black background in bf1. Also game was not even able to launch with origin. Apart from that all my bfv preorder weapons were robbed from ea. I had 1 year origin access premier from preorder days on, after it i bought bfv and the preorder weapons are robbed from bf1 and ea does not want to give them back to me.

Perhaps you're on some other variant of EA Desktop, but any interruption of internet instantly logs me out of EA desktop with an "Unresolvable Error" and I cannot boot Battlefield 1 without being logged into an EA account. Trying these steps, step 2 shuts out EA Desktop and I cannot force boot BF1 without it trying to start EA Desktop. Are there any more specific details you can share?

Regardless, this is consistent with my understanding of the issue as deleting the Twinkle folder in Documents also resolves the issue so long as you do not update the interface to go online. Once you update the UI (which is required for online play), the screen reverts to the black mess. Once the system is up-to-date and in connection with the servers, something wrecks the UI.

I should note that *something* did change recently. Two of my Xbox Game Pass friends no longer have the black screen issue and we don't know why. Further, I once had the background load correctly for some reason whilst the icons and all other UI elements were still completely botched. Upon rebooting, it reverted to blackness.
