Mercy rule

I'm a solid conquest play, and some times I get stuck with a team of players, who just want to sit back in the spawn and snipe. No foward movement at all. The other team takes all positions and spawn traps us. Then I have to sit there for 10 minutes, while the other team rains morters on our spaw. Its cost me 3 controlets already. How about if the point spread get so far off the loseing team forfeits, Or maybe put a timer on how long a player can sit in there spawn befor they get hit with deserting.

Indeed, it's frustrating when it happens. I suspect that's one of the reasons for the Behemoths in BF1 conquest, to break out of a bad situation. If you're fully spawn-trapped you'll likely still lose, but it may help stage a comeback.

In BF4 it's not always possible, but if you can sneak past the line at all a quick cap of a rear enemy point can turn the tide surprisingly quickly. Some may stick to sniping, but many will change class when they see the opening.

  • Just remember... You can't fix stupid.

Anytime that happens.. I just leave the server and look for another.

Another good idea is to play with a group of friends.  That way you at least will have one squad taking flags.

Have problems finding friends to play with... consider joining a platoon / clan / gaming group.  There are a bunch out there.

I have quit servers, as well as have a solid platoon of good players. Sometimes you just get shutout. If there was a mercy rule they could make a medal for it.

I agree, some times you have to accept the loss. I still think a mercy rule would be sweet just call the match and award a ribbon and or medal. This way it would cut down on rage quiting. I think we can all agree that its nice to check out the servers see a few open spots. Join and the second you hit the ground your spawn killed 3 times over, it can take the wind out of a good time.

BF4 has been out of development for over one year so no further changes or new feature implementations will be added.

I know BF4 is out of production, we were talking about Battlefiele 1. It was harder to spawn trap on BF4. Even with good attck chopper pilots and gunners, a hand full of assult troops with lgla and RPGs could clear the path. In BF1 on the newer maps especially on Fort De Vaux. If your spawn is E objective, you stand a goid chance of getting locked out if you team is not PTFO. A objective has a better lay out to allow players to get around on the ridge line. Its just a kill zone on E objective. Snipers and support can lay down kill shot suppressive fire from inside C objective and the ridge behind it. Allowing no foward movement while all the doors and breaches are just a meat mincer to anyone who tries. I know it takes good snipers and mortar support to lock a team out of the map. Thats why a ribbon and medal out be awesome for a mercy rule. A 500 point spread out be place to call a match.

That wasn't clear since this thread is posted in the Battlefield 4 section instead of in the Battlefield 1 section. We also have players still requesting new features and balancing changes in Battlefield 3 so this thread just seemed like more of the same.
