    @yoohoo23456 Hey mate
    If you don't have an on-line subscription whether it's for XBox or PlayStation or whatever platform, you simply can't go on-line to play the multiplayer part of the game. That's just how it is. So if you want to play multiplayer games, you need to get the XBox Live subscription.

  • Hi @BeastManElias This usually means that there's a problem with your Xbox subscription. Have you checked that it's up to date and active?

    @yoohoo23456 Since @Cobra2Actual has provided you with some info about why a subscription is required to access multiplayer on console, I just wanted to add that if you don't want to get an Xbox subscription to play online and aren't interested in single player, it may be worth checking out the return policy for where you bought the game from.

    I have checked the listings for Battlefield 1 on xbox.com, and it does look like there is a disclaimer which says "Online multiplayer on console requires Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass Core (sold separately)", but you could well have bought a disc or code from someone other than Microsoft who may not have displayed this.
