Mouse cursor not showing/not showing any input

when i have been trying to play Battlefield 4 tonight, i get stuck on the screen talking about EA Play and how i could pre register and all that, but i can't click the continue button because my mouse cursor isn't showing up nor showing any sign that it's giving any input to the game, and the thing it, my mouse DOES work when i go into the little menu when i press Shift+F1
