Mouse disconnecting and reconnecting.

This issue has started to happen more frequently later, and it is seriously a gamebreaking and frustrating problem. It only happens when I play Battlefield, and the mouse seems to work fine as the lighting is still turned on even when the problem occurs. 

I'm using the Razer Imperator and Windows 8.1. I start the game, everything works fine, BAM, the mouse disconnects for three seconds or so before it's back again. Then, another 30 seconds later, same problem. 

Anyone got any solutions? I've tried to update the drivers, check the power settings (turning off the 'allow windows to turn off this device to save power') and so on. I'm starting to get desperate here, I really don't want to replace my mouse.
